EMSKEE

EMSKEE's turntable mastery and virtuoso rhyming skills have made him an institution in the New York underground for the last decade. However, the rest of the world is also becoming aware of his unique talent. His limited-edition single Let It Go, (produced by Monk One and released under the name "The Together Brothers" by ten12 records); sold out in New York, Tokyo, Munich and London and was dubbed an instant classic by the international press. His UK Tour in August 2005, hosted by The Juvenile Delinquents of Woolacombe and Friends & Family/The Fat City Crew in Manchester left behind throngs of zealous new converts jonesing for more of his "original New York" hip-hop style. In October 2005, Emskee was a guest DJ at the Club Cult in Moscow, and in 2006, he will showcase his turntable finesse in Amsterdam, Tokyo, and London.

In New York, he holds a weekly residency at The Union Square Lounge where his eclectic blends have earned him the moniker "the remix king". Emskee also rocks the ones and twos at New York hotspots such as APT, Table 50, Joe's Pub and Black Betty. In his free time, Emskee can be found rummaging for rare gems to add to his vast vinyl collection. An ardent archivist, Emskee engineers his DJ sets with the precision of a curator planning an art exhibit.
